About
Our Experience
Over 15 years of combined payments industry expertise.
CanDo Payments wasn't built by people who only know payments. It was built by people who've run businesses, managed teams, served customers, and learned — sometimes the hard way — what it takes to make things work.

Chief Energy Officer
Gary Cameron
The driver. The grower. The tech mind.
Gary's career path is anything but conventional — and that's exactly why he understands business owners so well. He started as a trained chef, working in kitchens for years before moving into sales at 21. He discovered he had a natural ability to connect with people, pick things up quickly, and make things work.
A stint in retail followed, then a decision that changed everything: going back to college as an adult to study IT. That course lit a spark. Gary became fascinated with computers and technology, and that passion led him to build a successful publishing company — United Awareness — which won contracts with Cheshire Police, the National Crime Agency, and fire services across the country.
When a serious spinal injury forced a change of direction, Gary channelled his recovery into the payments industry — bringing with him years of business experience, Sage accounting knowledge, a deep understanding of reconciliation headaches, and first-hand knowledge of what small business owners actually need.

Chief Revenue Officer
Samantha Cameron
The listener. The operator. The people person.
Sam's career is a masterclass in understanding people. She started in hospitality — learning first-hand what great customer experience looks and feels like. From there, she moved to General Motors, working in vehicle services and supplying cars through the Network Q dealership, building deep operational expertise in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.
But Sam's real strength was always her ability to connect with people. She retrained as an Occupational Therapist in the NHS, where she spent years supporting elderly patients through dementia diagnosis — work that required extraordinary empathy, patience, and communication skills.
When CanDo Payments started to grow, Sam made the decision to leave the NHS for a better quality of work-life balance and join the business. She brought with her the operational rigour of General Motors, the people skills of the NHS, and the hospitality instinct that makes every client feel genuinely looked after.

Better Together
Two halves of the same coin
Gary drives the business forward — the technology, the growth, the commercial ambition. Sam holds it all together — the people, the culture, the care. They complement each other perfectly.
And every person they bring into the team adds something new. The result is a company that's getting stronger — not just in what it sells, but in the people behind it.
“We both complement each other well — and everyone we bring into the team makes the company stronger in team spirit and people skills.”
